🧀 Vegan Queso

Ingredients

  1. 1 (10 oz) container of hummus
  2. 2.5 tbsp nutritional yeast
  3. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  4. 3 tbsp diced pickled jalapeños + 2 tsp of brine
  5. 1/2–3/4 cup salsa (adjust to taste)
  6. 2–4 tsp lemon juice
  7. 1 tsp turmeric
  8. Water to thin (as needed, max 1/2 cup)
  9. Salt and pepper, to taste
  10. Optional: diced green onion for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine the first 7 ingredients with about 1/4 cup water in a saucepan.
    Heat on medium and stir continuously.
  2. Add more water if needed to thin to desired queso consistency.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with green onions, and serve warm!

Easy queso that tastes surprisingly close to the real thing!

Flavor improves after resting — it’s even better on Day 2.
