Vegan Queso

🧀 Vegan Queso
Ingredients
- 1 (10 oz) container of hummus
- 2.5 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 3 tbsp diced pickled jalapeños + 2 tsp of brine
- 1/2–3/4 cup salsa (adjust to taste)
- 2–4 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp turmeric
- Water to thin (as needed, max 1/2 cup)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: diced green onion for garnish
Directions
- Combine the first 7 ingredients with about 1/4 cup water in a saucepan.
Heat on medium and stir continuously. - Add more water if needed to thin to desired queso consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper, garnish with green onions, and serve warm!
Easy queso that tastes surprisingly close to the real thing!
Flavor improves after resting — it’s even better on Day 2.
